Recall of REAR tire

Anybody who has purchased a rear ContiMotion tire... please read the following:

NHTSA Campaign ID Number: 13T001
Synopsis:
Continental Tire is recalling certain ContiMotion motorcycle tires, size 180/60R16 M/C 74H produced from December 19, 2010, through September 24, 2011. The tires were sold as replacement equipment for Honda GoldWing 1800 motorcycles. Some of these tires may experience uneven wear, groove cracking, and belt lift. This could result in a loss of inflation pressure. A loss of inflation pressure while riding could cause the motorcycle operator to lose control, increasing the risk of a crash. Continental Tire will notify owners and reimburse customers for the affected tires. The manufacturer has not yet provided a notification schedule. Owners may contact Continental Tire customer service toll-free at 1-888-799-2168.
For more information for this particular recall, please go to 13T001.

Tire safety

I put a conti motion tire on the rear of my 2010, GW. These tires were long thread life and as another review stated they do not like white and yellow lines., as well as the hard sealer they use for patching cracks in the roadway. My real concern was on wet roads, grating plates and other such surfaces. On wet roads they really lose traction. I am now on Bridgestone and would not consider these tires again. The higher milage verses the safety is not a good trade off.

Front Wheel Wobble

2nd set of conti. On the 2nd set i used Dyna Beads and experienced longer life, going on 13,000 miles. Dry and wet handling they preformed very well."CAUTION They dont like cross walk white paint".However like others have stated I've experienced front wheel wobble at low speeds (30 to 40 mph). I will try Corba next. Eat,Sleep,Ride,REPEAT!!! RIDE SAFE

Very noisy

I forgot to add this comment on my review below. One or both tires were very noisy, sounded like an ORV (off-road-vehicle) that was moving on pavement.

These tires were ok in the beginning, when they start to cup then as the previous posters said, they are dangerous. Just before replacing them 1,300 miles from home the front end wobbled back and forth at low speed. I thought the axle was loose. I wish this review would accept 0 stars.
