Well made and comfortable

Bought this to replace the Techniche jackets we've had for a few years. What drew us to the jacket was the two liner system for rain and warmth. Thought that might be easier that packing everything we own to go on a trip. So far it has worked out pretty well.

One thing I noticed right off the bat was the softness of the fabric. The Techniche jacket was always very stiff, so the flexibility with the Sonora was a nice surprise. The liners are easily removed and are no harder to re-install than any other jacket I’ve ever owned. There are straps on the sides to snug up the waist and upper and lower arm snap adjustments too. Rigid foam in the elbows, forearms and shoulders and a softer large foam piece along the back.

The fit seems (at least in my case) to run slightly larger. The jacket liners are laid out with the Aqua-Therm two-stage waterproof layer against the inside of the jacket followed by the insulated liner against the wearer. You cannot use the insulated liner without the Aqua-Therm layer, but can use the Aqua-Therm layer without the insulated layer.

There is a pretty useless Velcro strip that runs horizontally at the top of the zipper, and Velcro strips on each cuff. Outside zippered side pockets with outside and inside zippered breast pockets on the left side and three inside flap pockets of various sizes.

All in all a very nice, comfortable jacket. Been wearing it four months now and have no complaints.

Great jacket. True multi season jacket. I did add a base layer of a windproof fleece for a 28 degree ride, and remained comfortable. I have not tested it for water proof.

Great jacket. I'm 6'0" and 220 pounds. An XL is just right for me. It's a bit roomy, but the adjustment straps take care of that. I rode it a couple times with just the outer shell -- nice and cool. This morning I put both liners in 'cause it ws a little cool, and it felt great. Will probably get one for my wife. The mesh with all the protective padding sure seems like a good idea. Better than just riding with a long sleeve shirt.
