I bought these boots despite previous reviews on this site. Other sites reviews of this product aren't so bad. So I took the plunge and got them, and really don't have any complaints about this boot. Firm boot all around including shift pad area. I like them better than my tourmaster solution 2.0 boots. Still waiting for the rain gods to do their thing, to see how the waterproofing works after that maybe 5 stars? The soles are like the 2.0 maybe bit thicker. No issues with eyelets at this point.

Don't buy

These are the first designed for motorcycling boots I've ever had in 40 years of riding, I've always had hiking boots. But I thought maybe these offer something I'm missing.
When I got these (internet order) I was surprised by the shallow tread depth. And that has proved to be the reason I say don't buy these boots.
I bought them about 7 months ago and the tread is worn off under the ball of the feet. I have ridden very little, maybe two days a week to work where I'm in an office environment on carpet. I don't drag my feet approaching or pulling out from a stop so I can only conclude the soles are of an extremely soft compound that wears out much too fast. I can't afford to buy two sets of boots a year.
I thought about replacing the soles, but have decided to go back to a comfortable hiking boot that will provide some lasting service.

Major Problem

Tourmaster has a major problem with these Boots! the eyelets for the laces are extremely weak. The first time I laced them up, the eyelet broke. Sent them back and promptly got a replacement pair. Tried to lace them up and the same thing happened. I'm done with Tourmaster Boots that are made in Pakistan.
