Great ( when working )

I can not imagine not having heated clothing. They make a crunched over can't wait to get home ride to WOW just went by the exit to head home again. 1st my wife's gear stopped working then mine. A friend went thru 3 controllers before giving up. Its my opinion that Synergy has a big problem with quality control of their gear and I am not willing to be their test project. I will not buy Synergy products again.

Owned over 5 years, No problems

I have owned two jackets, a pair of pants and a set of gloves for over five years and all have worked as advertised with no problems. In cool temps, can be worn without a cover jacket and in really cold temps, just a leather over jacket or rain suit. The gloves do not have much dexterity in them but when it is in the teens or lower, I can sacrifice and am just happy my hands are warm. These have seen a lot of use and I am VERY happy with the product.

The jacket heated up nicely for half an hour an then the three lights came on at the same time.I could not get it to switch off so I unplugged it and it never worked again.Wingstuuf says controllers are on back order from the factory,it is the start of winter in South Africa and I am without a heated jacket

Here is an update to my earlier review. The staff at WingStuff have been extremely helpful in solving my controller problem. I did always follow the manufacturer’s instructions to plug the gear in before starting the bike, and shutting off the controls before turning off the bike, but still had an issue in keeping controllers working. After many discussions with WingStuff they decided that like all products every once in awhile someone gets the lemon, and that there may be a short in the clothing itself. WingStuff was very supportive and accepted a return for replacement of my heated Synergy clothing. I would like to thank all the staff at WingStuff for their support and solution. They really have exceptional customer service.

I live in Canada close to the Rocky Mountains and we can have cold riding days all through the season. My wife and I like to try and extend our riding season starting early in the spring and then riding late into the fall. There have been days where the temperature was -8C (16F), so heated gear just makes good sense. I purchased a complete set (jacket, pants, and gloves) of the Synergy gear in July 2008 for both of us. It is easy to install, and we used it right away on one of our trips over a high mountain pass. We were in LOVE with the warmth and comfort, and thought this was the greatest gear ever. That only lasted for about an hour and then the controllers quit working. I called WingStuff and they were very good and sent me some new controllers, but again the gear only works for an hour or so. I have now been through five controllers and have given up hope of ever having this gear REALLY work. This year I will research purchasing some new heated clothing and count this as a learning experience, one I hope you may not have to endure.
