not the best rear shocks

These were great for about the first 6 months till the seal popped on the right shock now I can't find replacement seals for them here in Australia so I can get them rebuilt....

I have just order a set of these rear air shocks to replace my now very tired 240,000+kms stock shocks on my 16 year old GL1500 Goldwing. After reading a the all the reviews by the members here it seem to me this was the way to go as I am not a light person by any standards nor is my other half so I hope these shocks will help to improve our ride so much more in the coming years as we also love touring with my bike trailer full of camping gear....

I INSTALLED THESE FOUR YEARS AGO AND THEY WORKED GREAT.
I HAD A PROBLEM LAST WEEK WITH SHOCKS LOSING AIR OVER A COUPLE OF MINUTES.
THE PROBLEM WAS THAT THE RIGHT SHOCK BROKE THE HEAVY SPRING INSIDE THE SHOCK AND IT PUNCHED A CRACK IN THE LINER WALL.
JUST ORDERED ANOTHER SET BECAUSE THEY WORKED VERY WELL FOR FOUR YEARS.

I have been attempting, unsuccessfully, to purchase this product for my GL1500 since March 31. If you place an order, make certain you contact Wing Stuff to determine if the shocks are in stock or you may be in for a very long wait. Apparently, Progressive isn't producing enough product to satisfy their market.

I just had these shocks installed on my 1985 GL1200i. At first I was skeptical that there would be much improvment in the ride, but I was nicely surprized with how much of a difference these shocks made in the ride of my old bike. Before, the bike's ride was way too stiff. Now it's right and very much like my older 82 Silverwing. I also had the Progressive fork springs installed. If you think that your bike is too stiff, install these shocks and progessively-wound fork springs. You won't be disappointed. And, thanks to WingStuff.com for working with me to ensure that I got the correct equipment for my bike.
