very good product, simple install only took 30 minutes. reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is the front panel just lays inside the front cowl unattatched. i know some reviewers said this does not cause a rattle but to me it should still be attatched. i am going to get some fastners and install them on my own.

After reading other reviews I purchased this belly pan. Installs in 10 minutes and gives good protection for the front and bottom of the Goldwing engine. It gives you a warning when bottoming out on driveway curbs.

Installs in about 5 minutes. It looks great on the bike, and the added protection it affords is a real plus. Oil changes are a breeze as well, front portion removes easily for access to the drain plug and filter.

I agree with Tommy's review with one addition Holy Razor Blades!! Before I realized that I should be wearing gloves I had blood all over the belly pan. Please remember to wear gloves or have a box of bandages close by.

Installs easily in 15 minutes if you know to pull out and flex the lower covers so the pan can be slid over the bolts, then attach the front part to check forward/aft adjustment before tightening. Instructions do not tell you how to get the lower covers over the bolts, luckily I had read about this on the GL1800riders.com.

YOU NEED THIS! I got the vented one because I was concerned with heat. Found out this was absolutely neccearry when I dragged the bottom on the ground at a campsite. I just bent back the fins and pulled out the grass. (A whole lot better than replacing the coolant bottle.

Just replaced my old dented aluminum belly pan with this stainless steel vented version. Most people don't realize the plastic coolant tank on your Gold Wing is underneath your engine and unprotected. If you ride a GL1800 don't ride without a belly pan, it could save you thousands of dollars in repairs. Ride Safe! Ronnie

As others have said, the pan is easy to install. Took me longer to get the protective covering off and bandage my fingers than to install it. Also as others have said, wear gloves. The edges are sharp and if you pull on the louvers to get it over the last bolt you’ll look like me with bandages on two fingers.

I bought this pan too late> I'd looked t it and put it off. Then had to run over some unavoidable road debri that caused $1,100.00 to my 2006 GoldWing! The worst part was an oil leak, which of course we cannot have. It had cracked the transmission cover. This would have been prevented for $60-70. It is on my bike now. easy to remove front plate for oil changes.

My first one was the unveted one. I agree that the heat is throrwn up to your feet more. It wasn't unbearable but noticable. Being in New England, it was kind of nice in the late fall/winter. This one is great. Same increase in stability in cross winds and when passing 18 wheelers plus the over heating feet thing went away with this one. Make sure you take off the white covering. Not much skill needed to install. Simply remove the bolts from two holes pictured on the side. Pull the sides out one at a time. There are adjusters on the sides on the pan to allow for adjustment.

Good concept but if you own a trike, don't bother, it won't fit. The one I bought is still collecting dust in my shed.

Nice item but had to do a little bending to make it fit. Wouldn't be without a belly pan.

Very easy to install. Not sure I like the way the front piece just sits loose on the lower cowl.

Just replaced my old belly pan with this vented version due to a rock kicked up and put a large dent in my old pan. These belly pans are worth their weight in gold!! It saved my engine cases like it was designed to do. Would never ride without a belly pan after seeing how it protected the underside of my engine. That could have cost me thousands of dollars. Highly Recommend!! John

I had the "closed one" on my other wing. This one is a lot better. Had it installed in about 10 min. (it's that easy!) don't tighten anything till you’re finished.
