loved it, wish I had done this years ago. I had my bike detailed and they used an ammonia based product on my stock windshield and it had clouded up tried to buff no good. Now I can see and the wind is less

THe first one I got cracked right by the vent and had to contact Wing for a replacement. THey did a great job of sending one out right away. To bad I had to tear apart the nose to replace it again. Otherwise works well for me

This is an update to my previous review. My wife loves it, she said there is no longer that wind draft that makes her feel like a bobble head. She say's it is well worth the expense!

I love this F4 I got for my 2006 1800 Wing. I got the plus 4 and I am glad I did. Install was a snap. I have only driven around Austin but it is holding up great. I give it 4 stars because the vent is poorly engineered. It works but, I'm sure they can come up with something better.

Put on 20,000 miles this past riding season with new F4 windshield, riding from Chicago to Alaska, Chicago to California Rt 66 & etc. Seems very over rated to me, only difference from stock shield, or other brand shield, was the ability to clean it with any product. Noticed no difference in rain or any eaiser to get bugs off. I ride a 2000 1500SE.

I purchased the +2. When it finally arrived, I took the stock shield off and then prepped the bike for the new install. After that, I pulled the F4 out on the box and discovered they had sent the wrong one. I wanted the +4+vent hole and couldn't find a vent hole anywhere. When I contacted F4custom through Wingstuff they were happy to send a replacement which took another week. Since i didn't want to be down for a week, I had to put the old shield back on the bike and then do it all over again when the new one came. Lesson learned. Check the box FIRST. As for the new windshield, it looks and preforms fine although I think that they could have filed the edges a little better and they could have offered the rebate a little earlier. I missed it by that much. Such is life. If you want one, this is the time to buy. You won't see a better price, but check the box.

Fantastic Windshield!! Highly recommend the +4 F4. No more bugs or rain in the face. Very durable and secure even at 100mph.

I made my purchase from a vendor at the Wing Ding in N.C. 2 years ago. Was unable to return this year. The windshield has been good but it is showing stress cracks at the mounts also the srews holding the vent is showing stress cracks. The vent itself will not stay in place, where the front and back lock together will not hold in place. It is also showing spiderwebbing in the sides of the windshield. To pay that much for it, it hurts. Oh yea, my wife could tell a big difference with the windshield up the wind didn't bother her helmet. That's a good thing. I would just like to get this one replaced. I'm not asking WingStuff, but check on a warranty for your purchase.

Have used the F4 + 4 for a year now. Have noticed some swirls and air bubbles from when it was new but did not bother me to much. Now I have noticed some cracks around the screws where it is attached to the bike and it does have some scratches. Over all not to bad and does a good job on the bike. will see what the next year does to it.

I bought the tall windshield and am glad I did. I've been riding for two years and over 20,000 miles behind this windshield, and it is excellent. The tall windshield significantly reduced helmet buffeting, and keeps the weather off of you. As for cleaning, I've cleaned this windshield at least 100 times, and there are no scratches whatsoever! I use Windex as prescribed. I've also take a few rock hits, and there are only small marks where the rocks hit, but no cracks at all. And despite the tall profile, the windshield is stiff enough that it does not oscillate in even the worst cross winds. This is an essential item for any Wing.

Packaging was very good with protective film front and back. Install was as expected on a 2002 model. Watch out for rubber grommets behind lock down bar bolts, had to remove glove box to find them in the faring.(not mentioned in instructions) Spent most time removing old adhesive from original contact strip. After cleaning, wipe with acetone so new strip stays put. Did not have a problem with the factory installed vent as mentioned in other reviews. The F4 is a bit more rigid that OEM which seems to make high speed wind buffeting less noticeable. Can't opine on durability since just installed but so far really like the product.

Recently purchased a Kuryakyn windshield that was defective and after calling Wingstuff customer service they were great about taking it back and recommending I try the F4 GL1800 windshield instead. I know why they recommended it, the F4 windshield gave my wife and I good wind protection compared to my stock windshield and has a slippery surface that makes cleaning very easy. I ordered the +2 so I can still adjust it up and down like the stock windshield, I almost bought the +4, but it has a fixed height and I'm not very tall so this worked just great for both of us. Highly recommend! Frank

PHENOMINAL! My buddy and I put the regular height units on our bikes. 6000+ miles from Vegas through Denver and Savannah to the southern most point in Key West. Brutal rain and sand storms. Not a single scratch on them! Though we never used a gas station squigee, I did use the rain-x window cleaner and treatment. The OEM windshield scratched on the first cleaning on last years trip to Anchorage. I was hesitant to purchase due to the price and some of the reviews I had seen. Overall I'm extremely happy with this product and would definitely buy another one if this one ever gets to the point it has to be replaced. Well worth the $$$. Also rumor has it that the WS showroom has an OEM and F4 windshield display where they use windshield wipers and steel wool. It would be kind of cool for them to post that video with the product description.

Yes, it is clear, it cleans easy. Now for the bad news. I just replaced my Tulsa with this F4+4 because of all the rave reviews on 1800riders.com. I was really expecting a fantastic windshield. My first ride wasa 2,000 mile trip. I wanted to send it back the first 100 miles. What is the MAIN reason for a windshield?? Shield the wind. This thing HAS THE AERODYNAMICS OF A PIECE OF PLYWOOD! Buffeting like I've never experienced before. My head is still vibrating. It is expensive, it DOES scratch, it really does not shed water like everyone says (acts very much like all other windshields in that regard). It's amazing how "Hype" and the "bandwagon" effect can sell products. My Tulsa was MUCH better. I'm selling this on Craig's List and going back to the TULSA Tall!! They have actually studied aerodynamics!! (BTW: you should know how to install a windshield on your own because - as with most manufacturers they have NO idea on how to write installation instructions!)

I bought this windshield about a year ago. On a trip from coast to coast, it began to delaminate. Upon returning home, I called the factory and a new windshield was shipped within the hour. The clarity is the best I have found and I definitely would purchase another one. The factory service is excellent.

IT'S BEEN 2 YEARS AND 35K MILES AND I STILL WOULD BUY ANOTHER IF ANYTHING HAPPENED TO THIS ONE. YES THE VENT DID NOT FIT PERFECT AT FIRST BUT A LITTLE ADJUSTMENTS AND IT'S O.K. NOW. STILL GIVE IT 5 STARS. IT'S A GREAT HELP ON THE PASSENGER.

Very nice product. No more caution getting on my GL1800 like the Tulsa Tall was. This windshield stands up straighter and I like a lot better.

Bought the F4 -2" Shorty Sporty version and logged 16,000 miles the first year I had it. I Truely love this Windshield. I like the short version cause I like to look over the top but when the weather is cold, real windy, or rainy then I raise my shield all the way up which makes it maybe just a tad taller then what a stock shield would be in the normal lowered postion. After a year of use, it is still in excellent condition with NO swirl or scratch marks in it. Most of the time I'm very careful when cleaning but while on long hauls I have used the window squegee/scruber thing at the filling stations and with no harm to windshield I will also use windex or other glass cleaners and it doesn't hurt the finish either. Another thing is the amazing ability to shed water during raining weather. I think the price was a bit step but have been unhappy with other OEM or after market windshields, you treat them with kid gloves and still get swirl and scratch marks which makes it hard to see through while night driving and facing oncoming traffic lights, I don't have this problem as of yet with the F4. I give the product a 5 star rating for the product itself, overall I give it a 4 cause I thought the price is to high. I think more riders would buy them if they weren't so high priced. I know I sure like mine and brag it up all the time. Winger03 Illusion Blue and lots of chrome.

I love this windshield. I have the 4" over with 55k miles on it(year and a half) and it still looks great. I coat it with rain-x about once a month and ride, ride, ride. the vent didn't fit right at first but it's fine now. If something happens to it, I will buy another one
