I bought the Kuryakyn Luggage rack from WingStuff and got it really fast. I had my honda dealer put it on for me. I was concerned about the weight of the rack but it is still easy to life up and lower. As always you need to watch how much weight you put on it. I would highly recommend this rack for any GW. Make sure if you don't have lights that you leave room for them to put on later.

I bought the rack and risers together and had no problem with fit or installation. It looks good with the spoiler.
I used painters tape (soft) on the trunk, attached the risers to the rack and laid out the location. Next I backed the screws out of the rack just enough so they contacted the tape first and lightly pressed each leg leaving a dimple in the tape, dot the dimple with sharpie, drill and attach.

Very nice luggage rack. Had some minor issues (my bad) on installing, but worked through it!
Used star washers and Kury risers on the installation, and it came out so well (overall) that it has convinced a friend to take his Kury rack off and reinstall with the risers and star washers.

Very nice luggage rack. It is a bit tricky to install, Take your time and I recomend buying the risers, because they give you greater Hole coverage so if you have to elongate the holes (and you will) the wide base will cover the holes. Looks really good on my wing.

Had put off buying this luggage rack for three+ years. Finally broke down and bought one. Should have bought one three years+ ago. Definitley makes the bike look even better. I installed the rack myself and it was a breeze. I would suggest using a cone or step drill vs. a standard drill bit (Creates less heat and makes a cleaner hole). The chrome was nearly perfect. I did notice one small blemish in the chrome finish of my rack. I also wish Kuryakyn would include thier own star washers with the rack. The small cone washers included with the rack are useless in my opinion. I thought ahead and ordered a set of STAR washers and they look much better and will disperse the weight mush better. All-in-all a great addition to my wing.

I love the way this makes the rear look! This was my 1st time installing on the wing, I did the spoiler @ the same time. I love it. Can anyone tell me how to post a picture to my page here. Thanks!

Bought the risers with it and installed them together. Went well with masking tape. Drilled the holes a little small and put a reamer in the drill to dress the holes up clean.

Absolutely flawless design. I had the dealer install mine when i bought the bike. I love the flat design as it allows things to sit flat and is still easy to strap them to it.
You know how lots of folks put teddy bears on their bikes. Well, the wife and I belong to a water garden club and we found a perfectly sized frog to strap to ours. Since he always rides backwards we named him Gorf (Frog backwards, get it?). Yes, I'm certifiable, but the meds help.

Only having a G.Wing for less than a couple of weeks, we had little very little time to buy what we felt was the right to outfit the bike, have the new tires and accessories installed by the dealer, and get it on the road ASAP.
This rack was my first choice which I did order, but I had second opinions after seeing the warning sticker not to exceed the 5lb limit rating.
The owner of our local dealership uses the same rack on his bike.
We spent 8 hours at a much larger dealership yesterday that had a pin strip artist with people coming from some distances to have their bikes done, and just about every Wing that came in had this rack on it, plus so many other accessories I had no idea even existed.
I am extremely pleased and more so that I ordered it with the risers.
This works perfectly with the $35 luggage bag shown on the first page of GL1800 accessories. Took a bit to figure how to fasten it, but I can assure you it is not coming off. If you did not have the risers, it would be quite some challenge putting the bag on the rack.
The rack looks great and should last the life of the bike.

If you order the riser kit too,you can remove the inner trunk liner and mount all four holes inside (all within the outer shell).
That's what I did. But only two bolts will work from each kit, the other two are too long (made for going through the inner liner).
Get a helper; set up the whole thing with risers on top of masking tape. Trace the big risers, "x" a center whole, then drill through that. You may want to get a rat tail file in advance to trim the holes, and I also used silicone goo, but you can make a mess with that real quick. It cleans up easy though.

installed mine last week with the extenders, went on very well by doing one hole at a time lined up through the riser holes, used larger rubber and fender washer on the inside, pretty much matches the size of the risers. Chrome could be better but it sure looks good and will work to keep things handy on the way to Fairbanks.

Great Rack! I had the dealer install this as I did not want to mess it up. I had it installed with the star washers which helps spread the load, not to mention they really look great too. Very sturdy construction and the rubber insert really helps to keep the load from shifting around. I've had lots of compliments on this, very happy with it. This was one of my few good decisions!!

I have a 07 wing and this rack has been on from the start. I love the design of the rack it proforms as a spoiler also. I really do not need a spoiler with this Kury rack. I am seeing one spot that has a bubble in the crome. Hate the thought of it busting out on me. Would like to add a light to it for blinking and brakeing if you know of one that would match it let me know. This Rack got a 4 star because its starting to bubble at 2 years old.

This is a nice piece of chrome to add to the bike. Unfortunately I feel that Kury can do a much better job on makeing this stuff. The reason I only gave it a 4 is that I feel Kury needs to improve on the quality of the chrome they are selling. The metal under the chrome of this rack seem to have some blademarks where it was cut out during manufacture and the chrome is not as smooth as it could be. But that is pretty typical of Kury Chrome regardless if it is made of metal or plastic. Only took me about an hour to install. Instructions are of little use. Gust have to kind of wing it.....

This rack really added some pizazz to the trunk of our GL1800. This was an early Father's Day gift and my hubby was really smiling when he opened the box! I can't offer any notes on installation, I had the dealer do it during an oil change and maintenance session. We just used it on a 3 day trip to Santa Fe and it was very handy. For longer trips this will be a must for our extra gear!

Istalled on my 2007. Take your time marking were it will sit on trunk. Reason for drilling through inside trunk cover is for strenght.
I used the bag with the rain cover. worked great but do not put to much weight, Reason will compress inside seal on trunk. Then with no weight will rattle.I did buy the spacers but was hard to line up after holes were drilled even after making holes bigger. They are sitting on a shelf.

Nice add on to trunk. Starting to pit a bit though. Get the risers with it.
