Yes, you have to drill holes in your "baby". Yes, they make it a little harder to close the trunk lid. Yes, the tips break off if you pull them through wrong (which is why they give 5 - one to ruin). But they work as advertised and the instructions and templates could not have been better.
R.B.B.B.s rock!

I'm giving this a 4 star raring, not because they don't they work as advertised and the installation instructions were spot on! I just am not too sure after two weeks of installation if they will serve the intended purpose in the long run. The trunk shuts fine now after two weeks of use, put the bumpers have deformed and in the case of the right forward bumper it is now leaning back, the other three look as though they have been pinch into a vise. So I'm not too sure what I am gaining after deformation of the plugs. They look beat into submission. Not too sure how long they will stay with the bike before I come up with my own solution. For the price you can't beat them, but now there are four nice size holes in my trunk. If you are unsure about putting holes in your trunk, don't do it!!

These were hard to install lost one the first week how can you lose a plug in a trunk ??? I had them in for about 2 months but I have removed them. I had to slam the trunk lid and that was causing trouble with my trunk organizer. Most of the time shutting the trunk would not show it on the bike dash I would have to get off and do it many times. I fell this will damage stuff in the future so bye bye.

They were easy to install, only took about 10-15 min's. After install the trunk was hard to close, about a month later I used some sand paper to the right side bumpers, problem solved.

Good to go. It took longer to get everything out to install the bumpers than it did to install them. Yes the lid is a little harder to close and open at this time. I believe that the lid will operate easier just given some time.

Just installed them. I found that the rubber has some slow return memory so it helps to pull on them a bit and hold for a few moments to streach it a bit and then insert them and work it as described in the instructions. The trunk does fit tight and I hope it loosens a bit soon.

Just purchased these and put them on. Took about ten minutes. I found the spit method works best. It takes a little bit of effort but with long nose pliers they will eventually pull into place. The stem is very strong and didn’t break off even when I used a lot of force pulling them through. The pack comes with five stoppers even though you only use four so for those watching the pennies get your buddies together, order four packs and you can make up one pack free.

Just put these on the trunk this past weekend. Cut out the template, overlaid on the trunk as instructed, drilled smaller hole first (1/16") then drilled larger hole to make sure they were in a single wall thickness - and sure enough the template was right on! Spit does works best with a strong steady pull with needle nose pliers from below and firm pressure from above. Trunk lid is a bit hard to close, but should adjust over time. No more rubbing. This should be a standard feature from Honda.

I installed them after Xmas it was a little cold hard to install. the paper layout that you lay out for the holes to be drilled was off so make sure you can reach them from underneath. If you put them where theres a dubble wall they will be hard to get to from the bottem to pull them threw. Lost one already I do beleave they are about 1/4 to tall. The back ones are slanted over now. as long as my latch dosen't get damaged its cool.

Rattling sound from the rear is gone when riding rough pavements and it closes in a solid sound shut. When you open it the trunk lid pops up right away.

These work well to make the trunk close tight and not rattle or rub. Installing them is a little tricky, the saliva works but I also tapped them with a rubber mallet to get them to set.

Just installed these and they sure make the trunk lid close tightly. Installation was very simple and straight forward. I used a step drill to cut the holes so no sharp or rough edges. Make sure you read the instructions and I must agree with the manufacture spit (saliva) does work best for the install. Honda should have something like this as an OEM from the factory - but I guess they cot corners to increase their profit margin.

I got these just before Christmas. They were easy to install. I cut the edges of the template and matched the line on the top to the front edge of the trunk. I drilled the holes nice and slow and it minimized the sharp edges. It makes the trunk lid sit correctly, but it will take some pressing down on the lid to get it shut and open for a while until the bumpers compress a little. I used a pair of needle nose pliers to pull on the bottom of the bumper and yes spit and a small round metal rod to help push the top through the hole. Took about 30 min to install from drilling to done.

work great and about a 10 minute job. Wish I had these a couple years earlier to help save the paint. Very tight fit but no movement and will hopefully wear down a little.

Great product, trunk is more tight than I like, but dosen't rattle or rub paint anymore.. Gave it a 4 rating, only because the pattern sent with it to drill holes, doesn't say if you have to cut at top of line, facing front? Just says to cut on dotted line, and there is a 1/8 gap at top of pattern, so dont know if it should be trimmed off or left on,,,I trimmed, and sets hole father down on truck, it works, but don't know if inventor wanted it up higher or lower? Im sure it will loosen up on yightness as it stays closed for while.. Great idea, and agree it should have come from factory!

Such a low cost part and I don't know why Honda don't make it a standard compponent to the motobike. I works very well that it completely eliminates the rattling and when I close the hatch it sounds like a Mercedes Benz door LOL. A good thing .
