I was an accident investigator for 4 years and this seems to be a great idea - hope I never get to check out just how well it works. I hooked the ripcord up to the bracket for the backrest on my '08 Wing & it's easy to use. Decent ventilation. Careful about the sizing - A 2XL usually fits me a little loose, but this is a little snug around the waist. I took out the (thin) backpad to make a little more room because of this. It seems the airbag should protect my back - hope I don't regret taking the pad out, but it's really thin. If you've developed the middle age spread a lot of us have, you might consider buying one size larger than usual.
