Tried to save a few bucks and purchased the 'other' system, which lasted all of approximately one week, to be generous. The display froze up, the rear sensor stopped transmitting, etc. Exchanged it for this one, also, on that note, Wingstuff, you could not ask for a better, more profesional experience, called customer service, spoke with Phil, explained, 10 minutes later everything was good to go. As far as the product, reminds me a lot of my old Smartire system, feels 'real'. and seems like it will prove itself trustworthy, unlike the 'novelty toy' (not) mentioned above. Had the sensors installed in the wheel, like the idea of the metal stems anyway, and so far could not be happier. Mounted the monitor in the little square area on the right side nav panel above the zoom button, so it is always in view, and all is good.

4 months later since last review, and had a screw in the tire last week at Big Bend. This device I am sure saved me from a lot worse situation. After I had to air the tire up twice and while on the third time, cause the monitor alarm went off and told me it was low, a day between the last air up, I looked close at the tire and found the screw and slow leak. I know it could have been a lot worse if the tire got real low while I was on I-10 going 80 to 85mph. ( regular speed limit is 80) I was also pulling a fully loaded trailer. I really like this over the new stock ones on the 2009 wings since you do not have to be moving for them to work. While I am on any trip I leave the unit on 24hrs and does not drain the battery, I only turn it off when the wing is at home sleeping.

Got one of these recently because I seem to pick up at least one screw with every rear tire I mount and I usually end up riding on it for quite a while before it actually goes totally flat causing the tire life to be greatly shortened. Anyway except for the 6 minute delay on startup it works great. I couldn't figure out where to mount it so I just put a piece of Velcro on the left dash and stuck it there until I can figure out something better. This way I can stuff it into the left glove box if I don't want to display it while parked. I just mounted the sensors on the steams until, my next tire changes, with the locks on them and they seem to be working great. Now if I can just find the allen wench, to get them off when I do need air, things will be fine. It's good to know my tires are up to pressure when I get into the back roads, and it will be interesting to see how it goes when I hit that next screw in the back tire. Oh and I made the mistake of ordering this at the same time as a new set of tires expecting to install the sensors in the tires as I changed them but this unit got back ordered and the tires showed up in a day. Since I needed the tires badly I couldn't wait for the unit to arrive, so beware and order yours before you need new tires.

Works great. Could not find a place on goldwing dash area that I thought looked good, so I mounted mine in the trunk. (Dont have to see it all the time anyways). Red warning light is mounted on handle bar.

Somebody should list that the manual for this product can be found here http://www.doranmfg.com/PDF/DORAN_360M_USERMANUAL_2-28-08.pdf So we have some idea how it works and what our options are.

Installed about 4 Months ago, AFTER having a slow lead in the rear tire on a long trip. Would have saved a lot of time if I had this before the flat. Works great and is easy to install and program. Agree with William, the face plate wont last long but so far so good.

Installed in about an hour. Fed the power wire to the switched 12V accessory connector in the fuse box. Ran the wire under the covers and tricked it through the faring then up by the steering column and over by the headset connector and down to the sensor mount point close to the air suspension buttons on the lower left side. I can hardly see wire anywhere! Looks OK. Works as claimed. My only negative comment: the Doran logo and the "S" and "P" letters stenciled onto the sensor faceplate are almost entirely faded off. I'll bet that the faceplate will be bare by the end of the season (so 4 of 5 stars because of this cosmetic problem).

A product like this should be standard on the Goldwing. I had it installed today by my mechanic. Gives an accurate reading after 6 minutes and with the sensors residing inside the wheels, i know they cannot get lost or stolen (as opposed to the external mounts) Overall, a first class product that offers peace of mind and a sense of added security. 5 stars

I ordered this after I had a tire go bad should have ordered sooner. great product. Easy to install. The only problem I have is the monitor needs to be a little larger for the old folks to see

Install Time about 30 minutes - This is a great unit. I have had it on my bike now for about two an a half months and it has been very helpful. I have a bad knee anf back so getting down under the saddle backs to get the pressure is hard to do. I hooked staight to battery and it doen not draw a significant amount to be an issue and this way you get a reading right off the mark - if you wire to ignition you may have to wait 6 minutes or so for first reading. You do not have to be a super mechandic to put htis in.
