Insructions a little confused. It's much easier to mount the brackets and then the lights. That way you will see where the gromets belong and the brackets are easier to mount. After cutting the blanks for the lights out I had some rough edges. I trimmed the edge with 1/4 in. chrome trim from auto parts and it looke great!

Once I received these (got held up in Brunei Customs!) i proceeded to fit them. Only after cutting out the pop outs in the lower cowl and securing the lights to the frame, was it apparent that the Wiring was to short on both sides. The instructions tell you to pull slck through, but these were taped into the loom. So being faced with a lengthy return of the product the states with two gaping holes in the cowl, I decided to spice them into the loom itself. Anyway the light look great, but the dissapointment of the quality control of the product leaves me scoring 3 stars. Not sure if it something to do with the Singapor spec Bike I have, but the manufacturer needs to include any warings about spec differences in their sales material.

I read all of the other reviews before attempting install and I'm glad I did. The instructions included are horrible! The pictures are impossible to deceipher and the written steps leave much to be desired! Someone needs to update them. I watched the referenced video and that answered many questions I had. I have a 2007 model with the Comfort package and it's a bit more crowded behind the lower cowl than the older models, so I had to adjust some cables and wires. Also, there is no mention of putting the plastic cable retainers back on in either the instructions or the video, so beware. Removing the switch panel was not as easy as the video made it seem. Eventually I had to break out my shop manual to find the trick to it. There is a clip below the screw that has to be released by gently prying it with a screwdriver. Once the install was completed and everything was put back together, I was VERY HAPPY with the lights and how they looked/worked. I haven't tried them in the dark yet, but that's not what I bought them for. I want more daytime visibility and I think these will do the trick. Overall I'm happy with the purchase and the price was great compared to ther online vendors I checked.

Installation could not have been easier except the switch had a broken solder connection out of the box. Not too hard to fix. The Show Chrome saddlebag/trunk lights bought with this also had bad wiring in a connector. Somewhat disappointing for what otherwise would have been a 5-star rating. The light is not quite as bright as the product description would make you think. But it's a lot better than without them. Loosening the adjusting screw aims the light beam up. Even all the way out, the light can't be adjusted to the 18-inch height at 16-feet out from a wall as specified in the instructions. Also bought the round acrylic lens guards with this. Don't waste your money. With the velcro like sticky tabs that hold them in place, there's not enough clearance between the lights and the cowling. And you can see the shadow from the sticky tabs in the light pattern.

These really look great and add substantial light at night. Instructions not very easy to understand. Had to play with things a bit and did a search online to find some help on installing them but after a while was able to figure it out.

Probably one of the better alternatives to the high priced Hondaline fog lights available. I had a set of Electrical Connection lights on my last Goldwing and they used a funky mounting scheme where you melt holes in the plastic front cowl with a soldering iron and clip the light in with springs. I'll stick with screws and lockwashers on a motorcycle, thank you.

Not the easiest parts to install on the Goldwing, but well worth the effort. For the price and quality,I purchased these over the Hondaline version. Use the jumper wire, that way you have control of when they are on or off. After the first week of riding I have noticed that they seem to attract every darn bug on the road. I may get the additional covers to protect the light.

I have had these on for 3 years now and really like them. It adds an incredible amount of light for others to see you. I had the wife in front of me riding home ( she in the cage ) and she commented on how much brighter the bike was in her mirrors. The instructions are not good. Best advice is download the video from Steve Saunders website. He shows how to do it from start to finish. This was the first item I put on my bike and so I took a lot of time to get it right. Final install worked great. I have added the plug so they can stay on when the brights are on as well. Will do that untill I add the PIAA driving lights in the future. The switch fits perfectly on a 2006 model so that is not an issue for at least that year.

These were reasonably easy to install. The instructions are wrong! You put the fork from the light onto the adjuster above the washer and below the screw head. The graphic installation lines are wrong. They don't give you correct orientation for the spacers. They don't give you the correct location of the large rubber grommets. I agree with the previous comment there is an excellent video on this from http://www.goldwingfacts.com/1800foglightfitting.htm Note He doesn't do it completely right. The black dust guards go back on the cylinder heads under the mounts for the fog lights. You have the black dust guard, then the spacers, then the foglight frame, and finally the screw with the washer. He is leaving the dust covers off in his video. All in all I'm very pleased with these and can now see ( I also installed the volt meter) how much of a load they put on the charging system. ( It isn't bothered) I also installed a volt meter - please see the Honda volt meter for a review of that process.

Was able to get these on my 08 Wing. Had to use the long sleeves on the left side to make it work along with an extra washer here or there. They work great. The switch fit very well and lights up too. The extra light is a must to shine the ditches here in deer country. Nice product.

I'll agree with the others saying that the instructions for these lights are crap but if you apply a little ingenuity, they'll go on just fine. The light switch that was provided does not line up with the existing mounting holes provided on my 2002 so had to order another switch from Honda to make the damn lights work. I did hook them up so that the lights only come on in combination with the low beams and have the Piaa 1100X driving lights come on when the high beams are switched on. Anyone want a light switch?

Lights are great and a must have if you drive at night. Mine are now two years old. Instructions do suck but it was a easy install. My switch is froze in the on position but I aways do have them on so no big deal. I switched to bulbs to a 55watt. That might be the switch issue.

Lights look good and work great! The instruction where pretty hard to read, you need a magnifying glass.Go to (http://www.goldwingfacts.com/)and you can watch a video on how to install these show chrome lights on your bike. It's easy after watching it being done.

The instructions are too small print and VERY hard to understand. The whole thing is on one page front and back, very tiny! Apparently whomever wrote it never tested it with someone unfamiliar to see if they could figure it out. It took me two weeks to finally get them on and adjusted. I found that moving the supplied spacers around on the mounting bolts adjusted the light beyond the screw adjusters. Not much adjustment there. Other than the installation, the lights are way more than I expected! Very bright and really light the road for DEER! Reaches out on the shoulder of the road so you can hopefully see them first.
