For $35 bucks this is money well spent. I wore my vest for the first time Saturday in South Florida with 95 degrees and a heat index of 105-110. I was hopeful for just a little more comfort but what I got was a lot more comfort. It exceeded my expectations.
My ride was 120 miles with two stops where I put the vest in a plastic bag I brought along. It lasted the day/6 hours or 3 hours of riding time.

I am getting a second one, this is great feels like you are wearing a little A/C unit on your chest. The cooling effect lasts me about 3 hours or about one gas tank. So when I fill up I wet down the vest.

I had bought one of these, and besides being slimy, you T-shirt stays really wet. After you take your jacket and vest off, you end up with a wet slimy icky T-shirt. i tried it a couple of times, and never wore it again. Noth worth the hassle and slimyness........

I bought one of these to see if I could tolerate riding in the 110 degree heat here in Phoenix. Without much wind sitting behind the fairing of a Goldwing, the cooling effect is minimal. Opening the windshield vent just blows hot air in your face and not on your chest. I might try installing Baker Wings to see if that helps. Fits well under a mesh jacket and the slime goes away after a few uses.

I bought these for me and my spouse. I rinsed and soaked these several times to help remove some of the slime. They do help cool you down but the slime and sticky feeling does not go away. Would not recommend to anyone.

Itis nice to have some cool water on your body on a hot day. But on a Gold Wing there is not that much air passing through because of the windshield. It owuld be much more effective with more wind.
It does feel slimy and it can be bulky. But it is a good value.

Overall I would it works well under my First Gear 3.0 mesh jacket. I understand the previous slimey feel comment as I felt that when wringing out excess water. That may change after using several more times.

This vest leaks something that makes it feel slimmy. I soaked it in my cooler and it was like the jell stuff inside was coming out and felt like holding a catfish, I left it on the side of the road.

Got my first chance to use this vest last weekend when the temps hit over 90. It did an excellent job but I think the advertised time of 3-4 hours of cooling is stretching it a bit. Mine seemed to work well for about an hour. Humidity was fairly high, so I expect that in hot dry climates the cooling effect would last < 1hour. So, what the heck, buy two and keep one in a water tight container for a quick swap out!

Bought these in Nashville at GWRRA rally last year. 107 degrees on the trip from Atlanta to Nashville - completely comfortable in same temps under mesh jacket on the way home - best purchase we made at the rally.

I have had this vest for a few weeks now and it works great I wished I had it when I drove to the last bike rally. Looking forward to using it next summer to make the long hot summer days in the south a little cooler when I ride.
