This is a very good antenna for use whth the Honda CB. All my friends compliment me on how well my CB radio works. I attribute this to the antenna. My 2006 has a fiberglass single FM/CB antenna and I often have problems hearing and talking with other bikers. This antenna is well worth the money, and I highly recommend it. I did not even adjust the swr, as it works flawlessly.

After one year of installation on my bike, the rubber grommet on the top of the base has shrunk (due to sun??) and now talking and hearing on the CB is nothing but static when I ride. Standing still, all works fine. The faster I go the more the antenna moves with the wind, and the more static I get. Not sure how to fix this other than to buy another antenna and see if it does the same thing in another year.

Installation was a breeze and works as intended. Not sure what the fuss is about. Had no trouble mounting with Kury armrests.

Ken is correct. If you have previously installed the Kuryakyn arm rests, the shoulder screws provided by Add On will not work. They are too short. Also, the instruction indicate the holes that originally were drilled for the arm rests need to be enlarged to 3/8". Not true. The holes can be used without enlarging them. Also, when the chrome side piece of the armrest is removed, remove the existing screw studs from the piece and the antenna will fit as it should. ADD ON doesn't employ qualified personnel to write accurate installation instructions for their products. Always take your time when adding any of their products to your machine.

I have read others mention that the fit and finish aren't as nice as Hondaline. I have also read complaints about the intall. I have to say that the install took me five minutes and the fit and finish look just like my am/fm antenna with exception of the chrome ball on top versus the red ball on the Hondaline antenna. Don't waste your money on the Hondalne antenna. This one is a great bargain. Plug and play with this and my new CB is up and working great in a few hours time along with many other new bike goodies.

update on my first review. i have had the antenna installed for 3 months now with over 4000 miles of riding and the product still looks like new. i have not had a single problem with it.

If you have the Kury' armrests, the hardware that comes with this will not work.
If you have those, remove armrests' nuts inside the trunk. The you can push that square piece of chrome off by pushigh out on its studs. Then using the same nuts, go find screws long enough, to reach from inside the trunk, to the holes in the antenna.

Installed when I purchased by Goldwing at the dealership! Works great and WingStuff had the lowest price I could find.

What a nice addition ! This antenna really balance the rear of the bike. I purchased the antenna for the look. I do not have the CB and I am not planning to get it.
Some have complained about the lack of instructions / template. I agree. Still giving it 5 stars for its value.
Tip: You can temporarily remove the black rubber gasket on the base of the antenna and use it as a template to drill the center hole (the one for the wire). That's what I did and it worked perfectly.

If you need a new CB antenna, DON'T HESITATE to buy this one over the Hondaline one. This one works just perfectly, looks the same except it has a chrome ball instead of the little red cap at the top of the antenna stem.
REALLY...save yourself 1/3 the pricier unit!
Oh, by the way, it took less than one hour to install.

Just what I needed for that balanced look. Installation was straight forward, however,a template would have been helpful, especially for the center hole.

Simple install. Took more time to remove seat than to drill and install. Second antenna brings balanced look to the rear of the bike.
