Really Kuryakyn? Really? In this open letter to the engineers and accountants at Kuryakyn, I'd like to nitpick just a tad. (I would address the customer service folk, but I've done that before, to no avail. )
If it was your (engineers) idea to make us reuse the tiny balls and springs, what were you thinking? "Let's provide the customer with these nice floorboards but torture him with having to fish out the ball and spring so he can drop them, spend 20 minutes finding them, and then try and figure out how to put the puzzle back together! Hah!" Okay, it wasn't that bad, but if your account said, "Let's save 25 cents on these and make the customer reuse the Honda spring and ball," then shame on them for being penny wise and pound foolish. Go ahead and spend 50 cents more on these parts and charge me an additional 2 dollars! Most of us would pay gladly for a complete part that requires a little less unnecessary hassle.
Now with that off my chest - except for the 20 minutes looking for the dropped spring (my bad), these installed in just a few minutes. One swing arm rubs a little (yes, it will take off the chrome where it hits over time), but I expect that from our friends at Kury. I got these for my wife, and if she's happy, I'm happy. It was interesting they include some extra pads and glue (thank you) but I think doing so is a warning there is going to be trouble down the road. I just hope I have to replace the ones for which they provided the extras pads!

Installed on 08 Wing with little effort. Hardest part was removing ball and spring off the original boards, they should be included. Instructions should include adjusting allen bolts on swing arm berore assembly,so tension will allow raising foot pegs while riding.

This is my second set of these. First set lasted 7 years and were starting to pit and peel so I decided to replace them for cosmetic improvement only. They still worked fine. New set had complete directions, were easy and quick to install, about 10 minutes total install time, and look beautiful. Girlfriend loves them and brags about them to everyone she can. Would help if the spring and such were included but it was a small detail compared to the other attributes. GREAT PRODUCT!!!

Wife loves the floor boards. The second position gives another option.

My interest in these pegs were to have my daughters feet planted firmly. She's 9 1/2 and her feet weren't reaching the floor boards. the highway peg is just what she needed. She loves them. Easy to install, and I agree that the ball bearing/indent mechanism should have came with.

Wife says it's the best thing added to the bike. She's 5'10" and ability to move leg/foot positions allows her to ride longer without fatigue. Installed on 09 Wing with little effort. Hardest part was removing the ball and spring off the original boards (as stated they should be included)and installing on new boards. Also had to stretch springs a bit to keep boards up. Cannot raise foot peg while riding, must raise before starting out. Well made.

The wife is 4'9" so she loves not having her feet hangin' and when she's happy we both have a better ride.

My missus loves these. Two positions to ease her foot comfort. I like the chrome, and the fact that she's comfortable. I say that if she's not comfortable..the ride is over.

A little late with this review, but 5' wife and 4'11" daughter love these Kuryakyn Transformer boards! Daughter did 2600 miles as a passenger, when we went to Tulsa and back to WingDing and reported a much more comfortable ride sitting for long trips with the ability to flat foot or raise up the peg. I've not had any fit or finish issues since installing back in June 2009. Still looks new. I agree with others that it should already come with the ball and spring, but, installation was still a snap. Very heavy and solid.

Nice product, but only 4 stars because left floorboard was machined with the wrong tolerance and would not accept the ball and spring under any condition. The transformer interfered with the board. Finish is not perfect, but good. Wingstuff took care of the problem immediately.

Boards are great for SO, but like so many others have said "for the price that Kuryakyn charges, they ought to include all the parts". Sometimes you can sell or give the stock boards to someone to use but there are parts missing, duh! I put these on my '03 some years back and had the same problem with the left board being too loose, had to take a small piece of wire (12ga) & put under the spring. Tightens right up. Not too difficult to swap pieces, took about 1 hr. for install.

I cant believe that they would not include the spring and ball. But I was able to change it without much trouble. My wife loves them!

Great accessory after being installed. Wife finally was able to endure a long ride in comfort. Installed last night and rode 300 miles today. Only problem like others have said...Why doesn't Kuryakyn include the small ball; spring and bracket. It is a pain in the butt to disassemble the old boards and re-install onto the new boards. These items should be small change and should be included. Also, having a Motor Trike conversion, the boards don't go all the way down. They hit the rear fender of the trike.

Functionally great, plating is bubbling and really bad looking. Swapping the hardware was painless, easy install.

Picked these up at this year’s GWRRA Tulsa WingDing! Had them installed and rode from Tulsa back to South Texas. Very nice addition for the wife, she loved the extra movement they provide. I agree Kuryakyn should provide a stronger spring so they are a little tighter once folded up and not in use.
I wanted to add how nice all the guys (Don) at Wing Stuff are, great group of guys. Rick is top notch.

The boards are nice and do the job they were meant to do very well. But for $225.00 I think kuryakyn could include the ball, spring and little plate that you have to steal from your old boards. Furthermore maybe a longer or stronger spring because these boards are heavier than stock and don't always like to stay up.

this is a hot thing for my wife. It is nice that she can elevate her legs 5 inches higher in an angle - in turn giving her comfort during the long ride.

Very nice product easy enough to install but I would pay a few extra dollars to leave the old boards together instead of stealing parts.

Very pleased once they were installed. The chrome is nicer than the flat silver of my old passenger boards.
As others have reported it is annoying to have to take pieces from the old boards.
