Installed about two months ago and although awkward in the beginning I have grown accustomed to the foot position and quirks (kickstand deployment mostly) associated with this product. They are very well made and look great. Based on all of the other reviews I decided to disassemble the shifter side prior to installation in order to insure a completely free pivot of the shifter arm. I used some emery cloth on the pivot pin until it was free enough to move with out hand assist. I also reassembled with lithium grease to maintain smooth operation. BTW, the pieces that bolt onto the bottom are called deploy hooks and are used exactly for that purpose. When you need to put the board in the down position (you will do that often to deploy the side stand) instead of placing your boot on the chrome edge (which will scratch it) you should catch the little hook and pull them down. Four stars because I had to do some extra work to the unit prior assembly and as someone else mentioned at these prices that shouldn't be necessary.

I installed them on my 05 Hannigan trike, but I had to trim the inside edge of the right foot fairing so the the brake pedal would work. I didn't see in the instructions about puting the toe piece, but I looked at the picture on the box. I may have to put some lithium grease on the front part of the shifter. A good looking asset to the trike.

Okay, I have had these on for a few months now. Good to go, look good. I had the sticking problem as mentioned. Just added small amount of wheel bearing grease and the sticking goes away. Best to use the stock ridgeid plastice piece made to cover shifter. I had a transmission problem (prior to the floorboards) took it in for extended warranty. The bike has 62,000 miles. The first thing they asked, does it have floorboards? Honda will void the transmission warranty. They MASTER Honda tech says 11 of 12 trannies he has done had floorboards. I did not ask if they were all Kuryakyn. I had the floorboards, just thankfully did not install them yet. If you have warranty issues, take them off before visit to dealer! He said okay to ride with them, just make solid shifts, and do not rest heel on shifter. Also do not shift lazy. The gear cogs will partially engage, wearing the tips of the cogs. The tranny will start partially engagging, then pop into gear when you throttle up. Real expensive if not warranty. Use em, enjoy em, but beware!

I've actually never written a review before but on these,I felt compelled. To start with, this is a fine produst as far as looks and quality; however you should think twice before purchasing.I had been riding a cruizer with floorboards for the last nine years so the feel of pegs was not what I wanted so I immediately bought the floorboards. Well the Goldwing (for my size) just isn't designed for floorboards. The mounts are too far back to stretch your legs out (the engine of course causes this) and it really puts your foot at an odd angle to heel shift. Also even though my shoe is only a 10&1/2 there is insufficient room for my foot between the toe and heel shifter. It takes some getting use to to easily find room for your toe between the brake and the valve cover and if vertically challenged (30 in. inseam) it is difficult to get your feet flat on the ground with the floorboars down. After all that, would I buy them again? Not without trying a lot of other things first. I'm not recommending that you don't buy these, I'm just suggesting that you "Try Em before you Buy Em" or think long and hard. A lot of money for us poor boys. By the way, I haven't taken mine off.

I have these boards. Easy install, no problems. Be sure to red lock-tite your heel-toe mounting bolt. Every now and then, put a drop of oil where your heel toe shifter meets the bike. The chrome finish is nice. I use crystal glow to brighten the shine.

Love these floorboards. However only 4 stars because finish is not perfect, and for this price they should be. After installation the toe heal shifter would not return to the middle position. Not good. Turned out to be the plastic part that kuryakyn has you put on the stock shift rod. I took it off and left the stock rubber piece on it. It now works perfect. I called kuryakyn and they said not to do this even thought the picture on the box shows the stock rubber. He said it would setup a wear pattern in the rubber and could cause binding. I am going to leave it the way it is now and just monitor it. I have a 11 1/2 boot and have no problem at all with my foot fitting. My local honda dealer said that the only transmissions they have had to rebuild was the ones with the kuryakyn floorboards. I asked if I should take them off, and he said no, just be sure not to let your boot ride the shifter, and if you do have a warranty claim, take them off. Honda is asking for pictures to see if the boards are on. Still love them

Great product, heavy duty built and the chrome looks great. The only problem is I can't get my toe under shifter arm and I have to resort to using the heal shifter. I will have to build some type of offset. I have long legs and I have to lift my leg to press the foot brake. The break pedal needs to be placed to the right of the foot board on my trike. Overall a very good product.

Schweeet product! Gives you that much needed room to vary foot placement to ward off fatigue on those long hours on the road. Allows the much needed ability to stand and streach while maintaining control of the bike. Feet over size 10 will be cramped for room. Heel and Toe shifter, once used to it, will be addictive. The folding feature is nice...just be especially careful when putting the side stand down of the heel portion of the shifter; because you will hit it until you're familiar of it's location. Well made and very heavy duty w/ replacable skid plates on the outboard edges...pricy..yes! But a great product. Not for the Deal's Gap "regulars" though, you guys should stick with the folding pegs w/replacable skid pins!!

I just installed the floorboards and Toe/Heel shifter yesterday. The positive of this product is that the quality is A+ and easy to install and the brake floorboard is very comfortable but I quickly found that this is not for the taller rider. I am 6',2" with size 11 shoe. Shifting to higher gears with heel is difficult because heel shifter is too far back and the toe shifter does not allow you to place your foot intirely on floorboard so it's half hanging off. I will be sending these back

I had them installed when I bought my bike in 2007 and have not been sorry. The only problem is you must lift your left side in order to put your kick stand down. Be gentle in shifting or you will break your shifting fork inside the transmission, mother Honda will not warrenty if you show up at the dealer with Kuryanyn Floorboards.

Purchased these 3 months ago and I love them! A little pricey but wow are they heavy duty! Not hard to install just watch not to scratch them while tightening! They offer lots of foot placement and the shifter works great! A must have item in my books!

Instruction were lacking but not that hard to figure out what went where. Look great on the bike and I am happy with the heel to toe shifter but took a little while to get used to. The brake side took a couple tries to get the right height for braking. Still I would recommend them to anyone.

Reviewer Michael has it right! I,too, was confused by the lack of complete directions. I did install them and found I had to reinstall a part because of the confusion. I've ridden for years with boards and these don't seem to fit me quite right. Short from front to back, I'm a size 12, and the front toe sits too close to the engine housing. As for the two pieces that go under the board; those both broke off after starting up the Tail of the Dragon! Supposedly they protect the sides of the board from wear. No joy there. Look great. Heavy duty.

-1 star for the poor directions. For the price and reputation of the company You would expect better. The top push piece was in the box but not installed. Not 1 comment in the directions to install it or what it was for. It wasnt till I did my first test ride that I figured out I needed a toe shifter piece. :( Then there is this odd crome piece that they tell you to install on the bottom of the left board. Do it for what?! I did it and still dont see what it was for other than more crome. Also why wasnt it already installed? I like the product but they have left me puzzled as to some of the process and purpose.

These are the best addition I have. Use to use my highway pegs alot before but now hardly ever do. Easy to install. Love the heal toe shifter. Takes getting use to especially the rear brake peddle but well worth the effort.

These were not hard to install. greased the shifter with lithium grease and it has not hung up. Brake side had too much tilt in the floor board for me. Had to tweek it a bit to get it where I wanted it. Took 3 tries to get brake peddle where I wanted it. Overall I like the floorboards and feel the bike should have came out with them. I don't like a heel shifter but I am trying to get use to it. Seems the heel shifter is too high. Still find myself shifting wrong. I am trying to figure a way to keep the floorboards and shift with the toe only. May have to do my own engineering
