What is Mic-Mutes?, Adds control to remove dreaded background wind & road noise when there is no intercom conversation. Mic-Mutes gives both the Rider and Passenger (ON-OFF) or (OFF-ON) toggle control of both microphones.

Have a CB Installed and already have a Passenger Push To Talk (PTT) button on your bike?, Then you just need the Standard Kit. If you Do Not have a Passenger Push To Talk Switch (PTT) you must purchase the Kit that Includes a PTT Push to Talk Switch so your passenger can operate the Mic Mute.
Mic-Mutes connects to both rider and passenger headsets, and though the use of the CB transmit and/or passenger PTT switch, will toggle both rider and passengers microphones on or off. The purpose of this is to be able to turn the mics off to reduce the wind/road noise that the mics pick up, especially at higher speeds. There is also a version that fits the GL1500 Gold Wing.

Every Wing should come with this installed!! (Are you listening Honda?) Easy install and works wonderfully. You don't have to listen to the wind all the time anymore. If you are, then that's your choice. Get this, install it, and enjoy your ride once again.

This was one of my better purchases. Now my wife and I can talk to each other whenever we want to without having to listen to the wind and road noise during the times we are not talking.

This is an excellent product. Don't know how we went all those years without it. Stops all noise from passenger and rider mics being transmitted to ears when not wanted. Easy to operate with a flick of the PTT to toggle off or on.
Good to use solo or two-up. We already had passenger CB controls so pillion can toggle as well. Flick 'em on to talk then off again for peace and quiet or better quality music without wind noise from the mic. Uses same controls but does not interfere with CB usage. (Or if you don't have a CB - finally a use for that control box.) Fitting was easier than I thought. Only had to remove the seat and left fairing pocket. Top cover only needs remove the two rear bolts then gently lift away to pass the wire through. Plenty of room to do this even with my big clumsy mitts. All plug and play with no hassles. Thoroughly recommend this product. |

Great item. Works exactly like the bike should have worked to begin with. The extra push to talk button is a bit cheap but the fact that you get the plugs to fit the bike make it worth it. Go to a local electronics store and make up your own passenger button. My wife is much happier with the one I made for her and relocated. It's only 2 wires, be creative.

had this on my 04 GL and it was great to be able to mute the mikes in case either one of us got that urge to sing along to the music, also eliminates the wind noise from the passenger mic
