GL1800 Comfort Package Rear Chrome Lower Cowl Set

Due to previous posts about install problems I had these Dealer installed and they do look great! I didn't really know how unfinished the old grey cowl was till this was put on. It is the final finish of chrome to the bottom of the Wing.

I had hoped for better but learned quickly these are a hit an miss. Had WingStuff service place these on and they spent well over an hour trying to just get the right to fit. The vents could never be adjusted to close. They may look good but I am disappointed with Big Bike. I am now having my OEMs plated so I can have a proper fitting quality piece. Dave and his crew at WingStuff Service get a five stars for doing almost the impossible with this order. For the price I would not recommend this to anyone.

THESE LOOK BEAUTIFUL ONCE THEY ARE INSTALLED BUT GETTING THEM ON IS A KILLER. I HOPE YOU ARE FLEXIBLE BECAUSE YOU WILL BE BENT OVER FOR A WHILE. THEY GET THREE STARS BECAUSE OF THE DIFFICULTY OF INSTALLATION.

Before installing check to see if the tabs on the underside of new cowl set were welded in the proper place compared to the ones you removed. These tabs can only be off about 1/8". If any more, the new tabs are very, very difficult to install. The first set I had were returned for new ones and you can't believe how much easier the installation went. The Chrome Lower Cowl Set is that last finishing piece of chrome to make everything come together.
