GL1800 Cobra Exhaust Mufflers With Billet Tips FREE SHIPPING

This is a second review and it has to do with the warranty of these mufflers. I sent an email to Wingstuff and they where Johnny on the spot in what I need to do. The only grip is that I have chrome peeling on the tips only but Wingstuff said that the manufacture stated that I have to return the entire system. They will replacement them after inspection or if they deem them not to be replaced would send them back at my expense. I have no real problem weather or not that the tips are peeling but I do have a grip about my wing setting for what could be close to two week. I am still happy with the mufflers as a whole but Not with having to remove the entire muffler system and wait all that time then reinstall another set when the problem could be solved with replacement of the tips. I am talking with a couple of chrome plating shops and they saying for about $20 dollars they can repair the tips in one day.

I like the sound, the only thing I have bad to say is they came with a ding in the left pipe...You cant see until you are up close. Like the look and sound.

I realize I'm going against the grain here, because everyone else gave these muffler 5 stars. Maybe I would've too if I had ever got to see and hear them on my Wing. I have to say I'm very disappointed that both sets shipped directly from the manufacturer and had imperfections...I'm now getting nothing for Christmas!
The padding in the boxes is used news paper! In both cases the cardboard that is used doesn't keep the pipes in place. They're free to bounce around in the box. I'm a bit disappointed that Cobra packages them in an almost irresponsible manner. It's a bit "Mom & Pop" if you ask me. Most big companies hire firms to design packaging to eliminate the hassle and disappointment that I just went through. Obviously their R&D budget for packaging was zero dollars. Don't they realize their reputation and their dealers' reputations are hurt when this happens? Not to mention the waste of time and money. I worked an hour on my Wing for nothing and spent another hour driving to UPS to drop-off the returns.
I just didn't feel like I should have to settle for damaged product, even it was minor, at a $300+ price. I guess I should've as the second set contained a muffler that had a bigger ding than the original set. Stupid me, I had the stock mufflers off, was ready to go, and all I did was put them right back on. And that's where they're staying.

have tried the Torqmasters, they were good but these Cobra's are far better fit,sound, quality in my estimation. Good purchase.

No problems at all with the installation and the sound were just a little less than what I expected. The sound is ok and a couple of my neighbor made comments about how the new sound of my Goldwing. Now the quality and looks of these mufflers are very good and they do change the look of the bike. "Thumbs Up"
