Additional Product Info

We could not find a fork brace on the market that had the necessary adjustments to cover the variable working tolerances a Gold Wing inherently has. Two piece braces do not allow for any manufacturing variation that affects the width of fork, this can lead to premature wear of the bushings and seals. Kuryakyn designed this brace to perform and look better than any other on the market today. We’ve seen nothing on the market that compares. It will give you the look and the rock solid handling your high-performance GL1800 demands.

Installation was a snap. My first ride confirmed this was a great addition. The wing turns in better with a more stable feel at all speeds. Stability is improved, especially over bumps and rougher surfaces. I can't comment on the long term chrome wear, but today it looks great.

JUNK!!!!!!
after one year the crome started comeing off. Looks like crap. I believe this product is why I have gone through 3 sets of fork seals in 24000 miles. For the money try a different brace.

Had thi on for over a year, and it is a MUST HAVE. Significantly reduces the wobble that you get on certain road surfaces. Would be 5-Stars, but I also purchased the Dust Covers, which are worthless, and would get 0 stars if the system let me give that. Wingstuff did refund me for them though, so 5-Stars for that!. Just get better glue or attachment system on the damn dust covers!

Just put the All Balls Steering Head bearings in on my GL1800. Installation is easy enough to do at home with common tools, hammer, brass drift pin, and patience. While my forks were removed, I installed the stiffer Traxxion Dynmamics fork springs, and upon reinstallation, I installed the Kuryakyn Fork Brace and it’s redesigned Chrome Dust Covers. Everything went together really well, and both my high speed and low speed handling is now razor sharp. Though I have stated my handling is vastly improved, I am very hesitant to say that the infamous front-end wobble is cured. My thirty-plus years of riding experience tell me differently. A quick look at available front tire tread patterns (any brand), along with the knowledge that any tire I put on will eventually cup in it’s normal wear cycle suggests to me that front-end deceleration wobble will come and go. I believe this wobble is related to tire wear, the composition of the rubber in the tire, and the frequency of replacements, i.e.; the softer the rubber, the faster the tire wears, and the sooner deceleration wobble is experienced. In my opinion, we can do many things to vastly improve the overall handling of the GoldWing, (front/rear suspension upgrades, tapered steering bearings, fork braces, and tire selection/replacement) but will not overcome the physical properties that are at play while riding one. Keep both hands on the bars!! :)

I just put the fork brace on my GL1800 so I can not tell you what I think about it. I read the previous reviews about the fork seals and found them interesting. I have had Honda reseal my forks twice, so that was three sets of OE seals. The seal failure was always on the left fork. This time (4th set of seals in 55,000 miles) I went to an independent shop for the seals. When I called them about doing the work, the first question the shop owner asked me was "is it always the left seal?" It seams that the anti dive valve on the Goldwing is on the left frt fork. Whenever you brake that valve locks up the fork and puts all of that pressure on the left seal. This last time the seal went was after 2 days of riding the twisted sisters here in Texas. He resealed my forks and disabled the antidive valve. I hope that solves the problem. Maybe some of you could comment about your fork seal experiences.
