GL1800 Accessory Show Chrome LED Trunk/Saddlebag Moldings SUPER SALE

I have the whole set, trunk and side bags. I absolutely love them. Now I look like that spaceship of Close Encounters as I roll down the road. Personal opinion, but I like these better than the Kuryakyn models.

I have put over 18,000 miles and no issues...they really lite up the back ..which is a good thing and having them tied into the brake system makes the back of the bike really jump when you apply them

Installation is a bit tricky. I did not use the provided tape with the light strips. As those have to be removed in order to undo the bottom of the trunk area, I actually used velcro strips that allow me to remove them easily - they also provide for some adjustment when mounting the strips / lens.

Fit and finish is average. I had to rework the junctions between sections and remove a lot of burrs here and there.

Out of the box, the rear facing ones worked as running and brake lights - I was not expecting them to do both - this is a plus for me.

Once eveything is in place, they look great.

A nice product but be very careful during the install! The light strip is very fragile. Wiring should be secured much better to strip ends during the manufacturering process. Just a slight tug the wrong direction on the wiring will fold and break the light strip. Learned this the hard way and had to order areplacement strip @ $29.

Supplement to 6/25/09 Feedback. I try to not rush to judgment, but think other people considering this produck need to know. Although I installed both sets;(trunk and saddlebad);90 days ago, I have experienced a problem all should know about. This regards the "trunk led strip",...and out of the blue, the "left side only" of the strip across the rear, stopped lighting, period. This is the first time I have experienced the need to exchange something bought through Wingstuff, and as expected, they are taking care of me. The informed me there is a 3 year warrenty on these LED lights, and are sending out a new set, which I am charged form but will credit me the cost, once I return the old set. As usual, their customer service is top notch, although I am not looking forward to tearing into the trunk lights AGAIN, but things happen, Don't They???
