Finally, we have solved the problem of not being able to reach that GL1800 Audio Device Plug on the left Fairing Pocket. EVERY GL1800 owner should have this 6 Foot Audio Extension allowing Audio Devices to be put anywhere without worrying about the cable being long enough to reach!

The original audio cord that came with my wing shorted out, plus it was too short to mount my mp3 player. Purchased the 6' ext. cord and it is an excellent addition for placing my mp3 player in a user friendly area.

If you use your Aux connection you already know the cable that came with the bike is to short. This one is long enough were you can pull your MP3 player out and look at it. Or you can easly reach a device mounted on your handle bars. You can install this cable in about 5 min..

This 6' cable is great. Able to reach handlebar grip area with no problem. This cable does not come with the little rubber boot for the box pass through. I carefully took the one off the OEM cable and used a cable slide lube and streached the grommet with a snap ring expander and worked the cable plug through the grommet. Make sure you have the grommet going in the right direction. Wish this cable came with the grommet installed, it's a little bit of work to get it worked on.

Nice Idea but I just went to the local flea market and got a 3 foot extension with 2 male ends FOR $1.00 thats right ONE DOLLAR might be $5 at radio shack. Took off left pocket plugged in extension and followed headset wire up to bike. Add a piece of velcro on dash just below key and BINGO MP3 readable and within reach.
