I agree with Steven; the speakers are fantastic if you are into music like I am, but what a B**** to put on/in. The instructions really don't tell or show you how you have to manuever, hold, place, and screw all at the same time with only two hands. Definitely have a friend with small hands help you install these!!

Speakers FIVE stars / labor one star! Since the review is for the speakers they get five stars. Anytime the wife is covering her ears and complaining it is too loud, I know I got it right! GREAT JOB WINGSTUFF!! I had some installation questions and so I went to the manufacturer's web site. These same speakers would have cost me $30 more with shipping!!! All in all it was worth the HOURS of installation.

SWEET JESUS put these on BEFORE you add a luggage rack or passenger armrests!! I have been working on these since breakfast and am now on a quick lunch break and I just have them screwed in the box. I'm off to re-assemble. So for now the labor sucks for a $70 accessory. EVERYBODY should inundate Honda with email and phone calls and tell them to include rear speakers as standard equipment!! I will update this review and tell you if the sound is worth the labor.

WOW!!! I replaced my front and rear speakers and what a difference. I had the rear speakers added 3 years ago when I bought my 2001 used and they were already blown. Even brand new, the OEM speakers never sounded very good. These make a world of difference and they are not paper like the OEM. I did not have any issues with having to modify the speaker grills or housings. If you already have rear speakers, you do not need the rear speaker kit. Just order two sets of front speakers. If you have never had rear speakers installed, you will have to obviously get the kit.
The back speakers are a pain to get too as the speakers cases are held on by 5 screws, however, to get to one of the screws on each side, you have to take the trunk lid liner out to get to them (lots and lots of screws). I did not have to take the trunk top off to do it. The whole installation took me two hours for both the front and the back. |
