Show Chrome GL1800 Accessory LED Trunk & S.Bag Lights

looks GREAT, nothing better of a night.... really BRIGHT & BEAUTIFUL!! During the day, they are not very bright, but the chrome in the lights looks wonderful, makes such a difference. Have had turn signal problems on one side, have to figure out what is going on.

After installing, the battery was reattached and nothing lit up - not even the OEM tail lights. A bit of troubleshooting found a blown 20-amp fuse. One of the connectors was shorted out (had nothing to do with the installation). This was fixed, the fuse was replaced and everything worked great.

For the money these things cost, you'd think the manufacturer could spend an extra dime and include decent connectors.

The look is better than other brands so I would probably have still bought it. Struggled a bit deciding to go with the clear or red lenses on a white bike. Went with the red. Definitely the right choise - very sharp.

***UPDATED REVIEW*** While I still think the rear LED lights are GREAT, I want to alert all current and future owners of a potential shortcoming with their use. While my twin brother and I were riding our motorcycles to Florida to witness the launch of STS-125 (NASA Space Shuttle mission to the Hubble Space Telescope) earlier this month (May 2009) he noticed that normal daytime sunlight was almost totally washing out the light being emitted by my bike's yellow LED signal lights.

We suspect that the combination of their placement (low) and the silver reflective plastic in the housing conspired to make the signals difficult to pick up by drivers behind the bike.
I strongly suggest that if you are going to, or have already installed the LED Saddle Bag Lights you keep this situation in mind. Of course at night all of the lights are beautiful.

The way I have decided to address the issue of poor signal light output during daytime hours is I have installed the GL1800 Clear Lense Run/Brake/Turn Signal Light found here at WingStuff.com. It is an easy installation (see my and other's reviews) and definitely lets the people behind you know your intentions.

I installed these on my '08 Wing. Absolutely love them. Easy to install and really light up the back of your bike. I've had no problems with the turn signals speeding up on me. Maybe the Lord likes the way they look too. ;o)

I installed both the trunk and saddle bag LED light sets on my 2008 GL1800. Installation was quite easy and the lights look great. Note that a Dual Load Equalizer is required to eliminate the rapid flashing of the turn signals.
