Second review, I wish to add a bit of information to my first review of the Progressive Fork Springs. I found if you cut the preload spacers that come with the OEM springs, lighter or smaller riders can enjoy the benefits of the Progressive spring. I trimmed 1 inch off the preload spacers and the springs work fine. The bike doesn't dive when braking, the ride is a bit firmer but you still have a nice comfortable ride with a frontend that will work well when are cornering or if you just a dip or bump in the road as we have plenty of those here in the midwest. If you want a firmer ride just cut less of the preload spacer. To give you a starting point I am 5'8" 175, you can make your adjustments from there.
Good Luck, have a safe ride!

Handling is greatly improved, the ride is not. If you are a smaller rider, myself I am about 175 lbs. The ride is rough, I removed them and put the stock springs back in. I am still looking for a comfortable way to help a weak front suspension. I ride a 2004 Wing and it's a great bike, but the front suspension needs a little help, these springs are not it, unless you are a larger person maybe or want a touring canyon racer!

Just purchased my first Goldwing last year. A 2005 1800 with 4500 miles. Being a retired motor officer I have never been on a bike with so much front end wobble when you let go of the steering wheel. Upon reading the reviews and recommendation from Wing stuff I purchased both the All Balls bearings and the Progressive Fork Springs. I was going on a long ride and did not have time to replace the bearings so I just put on the new springs. After riding 600 mile a found the spring took out almost 90% of the wobble and I figure the bearings will take out the rest.

Just brought my 08 wing home from the shop who installed these and the rear spring. I also added fork brace and tapered stering head bearings to deal with the 1800 front end wobble problem. This is my third wing and put Progessive on my last one also. I am a peg dragger and with all these additions all I can say is "What a great difference". Lets face it, the wing is great. Now it is even better. Headed for Deals Gap next week to put it to the test.

Harsh. Rides like a wheelborrow. Sharp bumps and expansion joints go right up into your hands. It does not bottom out but I wanted a nice ride. I am under 200 lbs. It is not for me and my wife.
