Folds forward to ease passenger getting On or Off and adds to safety by getting out of the way in sudden stops. Includes up and down height adjustment, as well as driver seating position, back and forth, to help driver sit upright to avoid slouching--a big factor in driver fatigue. Backrest pivots at top of bar as you lean against it so no uncomfortable edges dig into your back. Well padded, but only 1-1/2 thick which takes up less seating room than most other backrests. All Top Bars are finished in a Beautiful Black Powder Coat. Comes with handy pouch with strap to convert to shoulder bag. Fits all GL1800 Gold Wings.

	8/16/2010 reviewer: Paul Rating: I bought the backrest that attaches to the handles and with the arms that hold it in place the wife took one long ride with me and said it was the most uncomfortable thing she ever had to put up with. Needless to say that one is for sale, used twice. I now have this backrest on the bike and it works very well. If I were riding alone I would have kept the other one. I liked how it felt. Stronger and more support. But for riding 2 up this one works very well.

But, although easy for me, if you are not particularly handy in wrenching, I'd have someone who's installed one before or have a dealer do it. Mistakes can be made. As for the seat, I love it. I've taken a trip since installation and it's wonderful. I had a Markland backrest which worked well but got in the way of the passenger's legs. Plus, the Utopia looks much better than having all of the hardware with the Markland. 5+ Stars for sure!

	8/5/2010 reviewer: Warren Rating: This is a must have for the serious Wing rider. If you are going to travel 500 or more miles a day this will end your back aches. I just completed a trip from the West to East Coast and had no back pain what so ever. Before I couldn't go more than a few hours before the pain was agonzing. The installation is very easy with the given instructions. Just make sure you take your time and trial fit everything so you understand how it is all going to work before you start cutting into your stock seat. When it is all said and done this backrest looks stock. I can't say enough good things about this backrest. Of all the upgrades I have made to my Wing (which are considerable) this has to be the most important upgrade for comfort.
