GL1800 Chrome Medallion Front Fender Extender

GL1800 Chrome Medallion fender, received & installed on 6-5-2009. Wingstuff had the best price with free shipping on the internet ( CB & Hondaline antenna were also ordered with fender ). Installation was easy, fit & measured several times before drilling. Alcohol cleaned fender to remove wax, stoppers on inside of fender made it easier to set in place. took it for a ride, Very pleased with purchased

Definitely a necessity if you care about how your lower cowl area looks, due to being pitted and dulled by all those miles of smiles you will be putting on your baby. Looks great and from my personal research, this item offers the second highest number of inches,....protection wise. Install is very easy, but as always, TAKE YOUR TIME, making sure everything is even and level When drilling the holes, I started with the smallest available drill bit, just to start that pilot hole, and work your way up in size, until everything fits properly.

Looks nice but the fit is disappointing. The tape on the back did not stick well and the piece rotated back while riding and scratched my chrome cowl. Not happy. Added addition tape to the sides and worked well after that.

Works great. Its a little bit harder to put the cowling on .

Beautiful piece. Disappointed in the fit. The tape didn't make great contact with the fender and actually allowed the fender extension to move backward and scrape my brand new chrome cowl. I used a little extra glue and installed an extra screw in the middle of the fender to hold it in place (can't see the screw and it seems to be working). Clearance between this extension and the front cowl is very close and worries me a bit. I'll let y'all know how it works out!
