GL1800 American Billet Chrome or Black Luggage Rack

Great quality!! American made and the finish is the best I have seen. Mounting directions were minimal. Would be nice if they had included a drill template. A simple sheet of paper with drill marking would have made this a 10 minute install. The rack is still the best construction I have seen on the market.

Of all the many racks I've seen on all the other GL1800's, this one looks the best (IMO) and is one of the best thought out designs. The risers came with it! Measure and mark twice, drill once. Not difficult to install, just use painters masking tape when tapping the hole so the bit doesn't walk across the surface of your lovely paint.

This luggage rack is very high quality, and the chrome finish is excellent! It was so good, that I had to wait 5 months for it, because it was back-ordered. I ordered the risers and the stars as well, but the stars were never installed--didn't need them. To beef up the sturdiness, I added extra large washers I purchased at a hardware store for the under-side of the trunk, just to help from cracking, in case the weight on the rack got a little heavy. Went to Wing Ding 31 July 2009--packed a bag on top of the rack, and it performed superbly. The heavier duty construction & quality was the main thing for ordering this rack over others, and I am not disappointed at all.

I got the black one and added the black risers.
Looks great and is heavy duty.
I mounted my flag poles on to the rack and everything stands out.

This is a serious piece of kit,it looks the dogs boll'cks when fitted.The chrome finish is perfect,so good that if you use chrome polish on it,you will see scrathes in the right light.Use only car polish.The fit is perfect,and the instruction are easy to follow,not hard to fit.
