GL1800 Torqmaster Torq Loopz Exhaust Power Chamber

I INSTALL THE TORQ LOOPZ AND KING SNAKES.HAD JOINTS LEAKING AT HEADER PIPES.GOLD WING RUNS GREAT AND SOUNDS GOOD.LIKE A VIPER.
I DID NOT GET THE ECM RESET INSTRUCTIONS.IT IS A 2006 WING

5 stars all around. Wingstuff and Torqmaster worked together to get me these within 4 days! Great job all. I watched the YouTube video and Jimmy at Torqmaster sent me the ECM reset instructions and installation instructions via email so I'd be ready for the install. The install was straight forward and went really well. Unless your Wing is brand new get 8 insulated washers for the exhaust shields from Honda before starting the install. They pretty much fall apart on removal.
Man does my Wing sound great now. I have Cobra mufflers (with baffling added) and the Torq Loopz now. It really sounds sweet.

On the positive side: throttle response seems crisper after installing this item. The sound is great; even better after wrapping the pipes with heat tape. I haven't had a chance to evaluate fuel efficiency yet; I'll update that later. I also purchased the Torqmaster mufflers.

On the negative side... the fit is terrible! The left side wasn't too bad. It only took some playing around with the adjustments to get the body parts to fit. The right side was hopeless. The muffler could not be moved far enough forward to allow the mounting holes to align. I had to drill new holes to get the tin to fit.

The primary reason why I only rated it 2 stars is due to my inability to seal the joints. I could not clamp the supplied clamps tight enough to seal leaks, nor to secure and stabilize the exhaust system. I tried using the stock seals in addition to the ones supplied with the the Torq Loopz end-to-end. No luck. Next, I tried exhaust sealant. The loose fit caused this to crack in a very short time. I finally solved this problem by having the Torq Loopz welded to the stock header pipes. I used the stock clamps to attach the mufflers to the Torq Loopz, but still had a loose fit in the joint between the Torq Loopz and the Torqmaster mufflers.

I had to put the stock mufflers back on for use on a road trip. I'm not keen on the idea, but will consider welding the Torqmaster mufflers to the Torq Loopz after I return.

This product has been the best addition to my Goldwing, does everything they claim and installation is not bad at all, I am not mechanical at all and took about 3 hours. Did add the King Snake pipes as well and bike runs great and could not be more satisfied. Seems like a new bike.

See my review of the Daytona exhaust that kind of goes along with these. My experience is almost identical to MadDog's. Instructions were worthless and in wrong order but luckily the install is pretty straightforward. If you have a belly pan like I do it will be a VERY snug fit with these installed.
