Not a lot to add given what others wrote. 5 stars ... good fit, good quality, nice look and the price is great. |

For $35 bucks this is money well spent. I wore my vest for the first time Saturday in South Florida with 95 degrees and a heat index of 105-110. I was hopeful for just a little more comfort but what I got was a lot more comfort. It exceeded my expectations.
My ride was 120 miles with two stops where I put the vest in a plastic bag I brought along. It lasted the day/6 hours or 3 hours of riding time. |

Purchased two in black and they are great for the price. It sits in my entertainment center with a little back light ... awesome.
Gave one to my neighbor and he got a kick out of it too. |

Install was easy. No brainer. Purchased the Original version.
Funny disclaimer on the back ... "Don't expose the Trigger to very high temperatures, shock, or excessive vibration." Also, "Some bikes with very tall ground clearance may not be able to get the Trigger close enough to be effective."
I mounted it to an '06 Suzuki DL1000 V-Strom ... high clearance, off road (shock & vibration) and I live in Florida where the heat off the asphault is 100-140 degrees this time of the year.
Anyway, it hasn't worked yet. I don't mind ... it was a cheap purchase. But thought I would share. It may work at some intersections but the four that give me problems still give me problems.
Here is what it looks like on:

I had mine installed at Gary's Hobbie Shop outside of Atlanta, GA along with the All Balls bearings. It has been one year and 17k miles. I had the bearings tightened after 4k miles along with the rear swingarm which was out of spec from the factory to meet my preference. Once all the fine tunning was done the bike is how it is supposed to be or should be.
I have almost no wobble ... hands free in 4th from 55 to 20mph isn't an issue. Before it was a dramatic wobble which would lead to a wreck without hands on the bars.
Now I just enjoy the ride. The setup is worth it and I'm not sure home much any one item contributed to correction ... bearings versus brace versus Traxxion versus swingarm torque increase versus tires, etc. I'm certainly in a better place now with the bikes handling.
Good luck.

GL1800 purchased July, 2007. 1st set of Bridgestone tires 0-5k and the bladder was separating from the rear, front was cupped horribly and I had a terrible wobble. Went with Metzler tires 5k-12k miles and front was cupped, rear was just worn out but great handling and feel and still had the horrible wobble. 12k-18k Dunlop Elite 3s (70 series rear), All Balls tapered bearings installed, Traxxion suspension installed and wobble and handling got much worse. Took the motorcycle in at 18k to have adjustments made to the Traxxion setup and new set of Elite 3s (60 series rear) and I’m at 29K, no wobble, minimal frontend cupping and normal rear wear to the rear. I still have miles to go.
I’m at WingStuff now buying the Avons and thought I would update my reviews. I’m going to try the 70 series Avon. I’ll write a review after a few thousand miles in the Avon section.
I always replace my tires in pairs, I’m a moderate to aggressive driver and I do about 60% highway to 40% around town or A1A/beach type driving.
If you are in the Southeast, (Atlanta, GA) lookup at Gary at Gary’s Hobbie Shop. He installed my Traxxion suspension and bearings. My bike had a noticeably worse wobble than other GL1800s. Six visits to Rick Case Honda and they had enough of me and me of them. I appreciate Gary’s commitment to correcting it. One item that made a marked improvement was the torque to the rear swing arm. From the factory it was about 15lbs light. Some more adjusting really cleaned up the bikes handling.
Anyway, good luck and safe riding.

I had these tires front and rear. I put them on at 5k miles and replaced them both with Dunlops at 12k miles. They are sticky and have great traction which I like. My GL1800 has a horrific front-end wobble that eats my tires up. I get cupping around 2k-3k miles and I max out my air PSI - front and rear.
I'm giving up on trying to correct the wobble. I put bearings and Traxxion suspension on for $1,500 and the wobble is worse but my front tire is wearing more evenly. I'll probably get 10k miles or more out of my Dunlops.
My original tires were the Bridgestone. I don't know if they were good or not. The dealer told me they were the reason the bike has a wobble. Four trips to Rick Case Honda and they have never been able to help.
I've seen bull riders put up with less stress than the GL1800 between 35-44 mph. Shakes like a palm tree in a hurricane.
I'll probably go back to the Metzler. They gave me the most confidence in the corners. Good luck. |

Cheap and works. I've had this product for six months and it hasn't loosened like I thought it might. It stays in place and helps me change-up my grip position for long rides. I'm going to buy another one for our V-Strom. |

The price to value of what you are getting is outstanding. You are protecting your Gold Wing.
It was easy to install and does what others have stated - protection and reduced wind jarring.

I like them and they were easy to install. It was about an hour project, but I spent another 1/2 hour with the washers making alignment changes.
I went from an '05 HD Ultra Classic with the Scream'n Eagle pipes and Stage 1 kit. The HD was loud and the Gold Wing was silent.
The Torq Master pipes added a nice note. It is probably 25% of what I was used to with the HD, but I did not want what I had which was too loud.

I just had these removed after 4 months and 6,000 miles (new '07 GL1800 purchased in July). I had a horrible wobble at 37-44mph and vibration at highway speeds. The rear was replaced due to flattening and the front was replaced due to cupping.
I check my tire pressure once a month or if I feel they are off.
Today is day 1 of the Metzlers. The dealer recommended 42 psi filled with nitrogen front and rear. I'm going to give it a try. After a few thousand miles I'll post my feedback on the Metzler tire review area.
I paid a lot more at Rick Case Honda than here for tires. My Metzler rear was $220.95 and the front was $172.95. If I wasn't in a bind I would have saved over $70.00. |

I use this every time I ride. It holds my cameras, cell phones, wife's keys, utility knife, FL state map and on and on. I'm always putting items in there I want easy access to. This is an inexpensive item with a lot of useful value. Buy it, stay organized and enjoy.
I have a photo with it installed.
Oh yes, I pull over a lot in FL to put on my rain gear and the reflective tape really shines. I didn't buy it for that but after some evening pull overs I'm glad it is there. |

Like others have said. For the price and considering what it does it is great. I'm in Florida and there are always sprinklers, sand or wet spots from rain. The extension significantly reduces the amount of grime on the lower portions of the bike.
I gave four stars because I thought the instructions could be better.
Here is a short video during the project.
