Nice when new
I am on my second one of these. After a year or 2 they tend to pit and lose some shine. Wish someone made a good alternative. |

Does not last
Bought one about 4 years ago. Just replaced with another one. Chrome does not last. Starts to lose it's shine and at the bottom mine started to bubble even though I have a fender extension on. But I replaced with the same since it seems no one else makes them. Honda stopped making them also. |

Does not hold up
I bought this about 4 years ago and took it off today to bleed the clutch. This chrome just does not hold up. I noticed a year or so ago that the finish started to become rough to the feel. When I removed it, the finish at the lower front was bubbled. Unfortunately, Honda does not make one any longer and this is about the only option out there. |

They look great but the left side did not fit for some reason. Holes did not line up. But the right side fit perfect. I also found that the left side front lower screw was sheared off. Don't know why it did not fall off. Must have been torqued too much at the factor but did not break off until I tried to remove it. Just clued the head back on. Did not seem like it was needed. When I get time I will try to drill it out. |

The '06 comfort ones cost aroung $500. I sent mine to Vanguard Plating in Conroe Tx and had them done for $225 plus shipping both ways. They are perfect. |
