Dunlop Elite 4 Tires for GL1800 2001-2018+
ITEM CODE: PG37488

12.02.2019
Here's my update. 22K miles later with still another 2/3 k left I suppose., No cupping or excessive wear. Note; I did not use any balance beads or product like that. ( I have used in the past twice, but at the end of the day, never noticed a difference between using/not using) I kept them at 40 psi front and 42 rear. I agree that these tend to chase tar snakes and the like, but that did lesson over time. After all is said and done, I was very happy with these, especially during the 2nd half of life. My experience is most tires lose their good driving characteristics as they get older. These Elite's have actually maintained their driving characteristics throughout their life. Avon's were my previous favorite tire and handle awesome, unfortunately I could never get them past 18k. These Elite's also handle very well, and, are great in bad weather too. If Avon creates a tire that can rival elite 4's longevity, I'll go back.....until then, it's Elite 4 for my next set.

Dunlop Elite 4 Tires for GL1800 2001-2018+
ITEM CODE: PG37488

So, I've tried them all. I ride an 80 mile round trip commute daily, therefore, that's 15-20k per year. That said; I change tires about once if not twice a year. My last set was Avon. They lasted longer (in miles driven) then Michellan (11k), Elte 3"s (12k) and 3k longer than either of 3 sets of Bridgestones(around 15k each)
Point to make about the Avon's, the Avon's were much better handling (that new tire feeling) for much longer BY FAR then any other...PERIOD!!! Moving on; My local Motorcycle guru mechanic dude, that's really good BTW, urged me to try the Elite 4's this time. I thought "what the hell". After 2k, they're pretty cool. Pro: When twisting the bike around turns, they're spectacular. "Maybe even better then the Avon's" (Read my Avon revue). However, those other E 4 revue's that point out that the front tire follows road snakes & grooved roads like a squirrel"..... are very accurate. Whether this turns out to be an acceptable trade off for manufacturer claimed durability, I'll let you know when I get there. Therefore, and, thinking in the "what if", if they end up lasting 20k plus, I'll put them on again. If they end up lasting only as long as previous Avon's..Back to Avon. I'll update at 10k and let you know what's happening then. P.S. Avon's don't wander...

ST Top Shields for GL1800
ITEM CODE: PG32232

03.30.2017
Me, I commute on my bike and post up around 25k miles a year on my wing. I've had my Windbender for about 3 years now. Prior to purchasing the windbender, I had tried 4 different windshields. Nothing comes close to this for ride comfort and visibility. I like to see over the screen when possible. With this shield, I can see 3 inches over the top while riding in real comfort. "I would have had to have the stock shield in its highest position to get anywhere close to the same calm air ride as the Windbender when it's set low". This thing is truly awesome. Great in the rain too..... much better than conventional screens.

Ergo III Chrome Adjustable Arm Cruise Mount w/ Dually Pegs
ITEM CODE: KU4081,   SKU: KU4081

02.14.2017
These are by far the best of all worlds. I love how they flip back out of the way when you take your feet off reducing the possibility of dragging in the turns. I highly recommend some locktite in the threads once you've found your "go to" favorite position.

Premium Mini Boards w/ Comfort Drop Mounts

Much more comfortable than pegs. I highly recommend trying these before spending the cash for the longer boards. I'm 6'2' with size 13's feet. The comfort drop mounts are great.

Tunnel Filler for GL1800

Although these are a bit pricey, they work very effectively and I've found them to be very durable. I've had my current ones 60k miles and still work great. Easy to clean and block wind and noise well. Very satisfied and would definitely buy again

I've had one for 30000 miles and love it. Looking over the top without scraficing wind protection is the best. I HIGHLY recommend getting the rake kit. It's a dramatic improvement over stock....which isn't bad. The Rake kit is worth all the money, especially if your a high miler like me. (25K a year minimum)

Since I'm on the freeway close to 100 miles every day, I'm going to try the ST with the rake kit to see if it can perform any better than the HP at constant high speeds. I'll let you know how it goes at a later date.

Bridgestone Tires for GL1800 & F6B
ITEM CODE: PG02700

11.28.2013
Just replaced my first set of Bridgestones with a new set. After putting 16,800 in 8 months on the first set, I couldn't be happier. I've tried most brands and these handle as good or better than any other, and, the rear lasted 3500 more miles than any other rear I've ever had.
