Horrible Chrome Finish Performance - Part 2
| So, I finally got thru to someone at Rivco. They said because it was out of warranty, they would not do anything but sell me a new set at 20% off. At their price, that is still almost $200! Why they took that stance for a chromed product, I don't know. The odds of my ever purchasing another Rivco product is not in their favor - ever. I took the arms off and they are now being powdercoated for $100. The cost would have been cheaper if they weren't chrome, but once they're done, if there is an issue in the future I can deal with a local shop. |

Horrible Chrome Finish Performance
| Having had these on my Goldwing for over two years, the right support arm (the one that the pad assembly sits on) has had a terrible flaking and delaminating of the chrome plating. The left one is fine, so it is definitely a poor chrome job on that right arm. I've left multiple email messages with Rivco to see if they will address this issue or even provide the cost of the replacement part without a single response. The only solution at this point I am planning on taking is to have both arms powder coated. |

| Looks *much* better than the stock covers. Install is a piece of cake and it really does improve the looks of the area tremendously. The downside is that you'll now see that the frame needs the chrome cover as well... ;-) |
